Why copper?
Copper has been trusted for centuries in traditional distillation because it does more than hold the botanicals. It distributes heat evenly, supporting a slow, consistent distillation. As steam moves through the still, copper can also interact with certain sulfur-containing compounds that may contribute unwanted aromas, allowing a softer, clearer expression of the plant to emerge.
While stainless steel is durable and neutral, copper becomes an active part of the distillation process. For KK Homestead, choosing copper wasn’t about nostalgia—it was about honoring a slower, time-tested way of making true hydrosols.

Each batch is then bottled with intention rather than rushed for volume.
It’s slower. Less efficient.
